Thought of another topic for future rumination:
Cordiality between opponents and myself and my teammates has increased greatly over my four years as a Braineater. Is this because after four years, i've personally developed relationships with other teams, or is it a broader phenomenon (within California colleges at least).

Everyone loves us, no one hates us, and I verbally jerked off every team beforehand so they'd be nice.
I think part of our lack of relationships with other teams was playing a small subset of the teams in our area. As the program imporoved, we got to play the better teams from our section and region. Because the better teams are more stable, it's easier to maintain a cordial relationship with them.
